The PDs may have lost the election because of the flip-flops over leaving the government on principle, or not, or none, which inevitably left them looking a bit incredible and somewhat redundant. But they should not have lost Fiona O’Malley’s seat, or Liz O’Donnell’s.
That can only be ascribed to a major error of judgement on the part of he who put himself on the airwaves and not Fiona. Did you see her on the tele on Sunday and Monday last, days after the election was fought and lost?. She was wonderful - a lovely warm, human, intelligent, decent and committed politicial person, who tells the truth, as she sees it, and harbours no bitterness. Please , Lord, send us a few more like her.
Fiona…stay involved !. The next election may not be too far away. (We predict at this time a Cow & Rabbit government). It may be best to rebuild from Opposition.
